Miniature Pendulette clock, ca 1830. This rare and unusual clock was probably made in the Germany-Austria area. Brass 2 inch clock sits atop an ebony wood pedestal and base. 3 turned feet on the 5 inch base, with dome it stands 7 1/2 inches high. The base has painted gold designs, pedestal has designs and painting of a church? and other things all over. Paper dial is original as are the hands, and the glass dome which is also hand painted with flowers. Key wind in back, very small key. Pendulette movement is running. No markings that I can see, and I have no desire to disassemble the dial and movement to look for names. This is one of those "Rare" sleepers that occasionally come thru here in the hundreds of clocks we deal with.
