This is an exceptional clock, well carved, and with most of the original gilding intact; there has been minor touchup on the eagle's beak and other high spots; there are plenty of fly specs present to attest to its age. The well made silk thread movement strikes on a bell. The original hand cut brass hands are fantastic. The original painted dial has some checking and a couple of minor flakes, and has gone a bit dark with age. Note the top trim shows 8 arrows leaving billowing clouds, with a lyre at the apex. This is an 8 day clock, clean and running. Dial 10 inches, Height 35 inches
