two ladies holding a terrestrial globe aloft, the clock in the marble base. See also previous lot with same theme, but with clock in the globe. Interestingly, we see a lot of French clocks in both Boston and NY salerooms, and we have never come across these ladies until now, when we have two from different estates. Compare also to lot 381 titled La Terre. The well made 8-day French movement with good porcelain dial and original hands. A good looking double statue clock. Height 23.5 inches
