This walnut case has full standing Corinthian columns, a cornice top with carved finial, and a carved bottom with acorns and scrolls. The 8-day French movement strikes the hours and halves on a coiled wire gong. The wooden dial has 12 individual porcelain cartouche with Roman numerals. Original pierced brass hand are a bit hard to see in the foto. A heavy and well made clock; with a rear label of A. Monin, 2 Rue Bayard, 2, Ateliers, France Height 42 inches
