in the nicest carved walnut cases we have seen. These cases have 3 carved figures each, one on either side of the dial (top 1/3 of each column), and the carved male bust above the cornice, each with garlands of grapes wound round their head and flowing out to each side. The time movement is a typical striking French unit; (note hour hand is missing one part of the trefoil), and the barometer is a well made Aneroid. Both pieces selling in this lot 343 for one bid. Height 30 inches
