Pair of Ansonia statues, Don Juan and Don Caesar.

The most commonof all Ansonia statues, we usually see them together on the double statueclocks, and as singles on statue clocks. They also sold them with their ownfree standing base, like this pair, and were used primarily as side piecesfor other clocks or just as decorator items. Someone made this pair intolamps. It had to be a lot of trouble to convert them, if in fact that iswhat happened. For all I know Ansonia may have made them, although they arenÕtfound in the Ansonia catalogs. Finish on both is super, and good enough tobe original. Stand 22-1/2 inches tall. See Ly-Ansonia for this pair of statues, used in different ways.
