36-1/2 inch cases were not used until 1913, this style base was only used until 1922, and Roman numeralswere only used until 1929. Oak case is in original condition. Old reddishvarnish or something was put on the case years ago, while the inside is alighter oak which is original. 8 day, weight, time only movement has theGraham dead beat escapement, maintaining power, wood rod is suspended fromthe movement and iron back plate. 80 beats to the minute. Original dial hasbeen repainted, good black label inside. Brass accessories are clean andrecently polished. Ly-Seth Thomas No. 362.
