Elaborate and Rare French miniature tall clock, made of porcelain, richly painted and fire glazed. The clock is just under 17" tall, has the makers"marks" on the base. French movement is time and alarm. It alarms on a bell, and alarm set lever is on the dial. Inscribed and pictured on the backplateis the trademark picture of a lion, and the letters "A.V." and the words"Depose Brevette." I know that Brevette is French for Trademark, butthe picture of a lion and the letters A.V. I canÕt find in the trademarkbooks. The clock will run almost two days, and alarms at the designated time.
