Oak case is 83" high, 21" wide, has 3 doors, all with key locks and keys. Top door gives access to the dial and movement, middle door has a heavy beveled glass, bevel is 1/2", bottom door gives access to a storage area with shelves. Someone suggested if the weight went to the bottom it might run 2 years. There are carvings around the top door and the base, rope twist down both sides with carvings above and below the rope. Round bun feet. Movement as you would expect is heavy duty and somewhatout of the ordinary. There are double clicks on the great wheel, fine adjustmenton distance between the anchor and escape wheel, maintaining power, fixedpallets, 6 wheels. It is running, but the clock must be on a solid and steadyfooting, attached to the wall would also be preferable. A very nice 10 inchpainted metal dial is signed, "Ant. Kaspar", and underneath, "V Karline".There is a large secondÕs dial, a thick brass dial ring, and the brass pendulumis 9.5". The brass weight is the largest I have ever seen. It takes 2 mento hang it on the pulley. In all the years we have sold clocks this is ourfirst year runner. They are very rare.
