An adamantine case clock with a bright red mahogany finish. Adamantine onyx columns, metal capitals and bases. Gilt metal feet and ornaments. Seth installed the "Automatic Eight Day Loud Alarm" movement in this case. Note the alarm dial above the hand arbor, and the extra winding hole way down on the base of the case to wind the alarm mechanism. I see some very small adamantine chips or bruises that I could have covered with a mahogany stain. Its no big deal, but there, nonetheless. 8 day movement strikes half hours on a brass bell, hours on a cathedral gong, and rings like crazy on an iron bell down in the base of the clock beside the alarm mechanism. Overall a very nice, clean, clock. Ly-Seth Thomas No. 1212.
