This rare old clock is only 3-1/2 inches tall and completely covered with mother of pearl over the small wood case that contains the yet smaller brass movement. I count 4 wheels plus the spring wheel. The movement is a strong running (almost60 hours) back wind with a cylinder/tic-tac escapement. The cow tail pendulumswings past the clock sides when running. Surprisingly the movement keepsvery good time. The maker is not known. The only mark anywhere is the number79 stamped on the front plate. The only part not covered with mother of pearlis the bottom, and the only thing missing is a sliver on the top, right side.Note that the front of the clock is fretwork or intricately carved pearl. No doubt a rare little miniature timepiece.
