It is oak, 20 inches in diameter, 7 inches deep, with twisted rope vines and leaves around the circumference of the case. Painted iron dial is 14 inches and in awfully nice condition considering itis over 100 years old. Heavy convex glass. Huge brass movement, large brasspendulum, and naturally a large chain fusee movement. Clock runs great. Excellentoverall condition. You have to have more keys than a jailer to open everything;heavy key lock bezel, key lock bottom trap door, and key lock side accessdoor. 3 keys counting the big winding key. A really well made sturdy case.Everything original and correct.
