The movement is signed in the usual GB manner. The oak case is 17 incheshigh, decorated lavishly with brass ornaments on the front and sides. Thereare some interesting characters in the castings and I notice some even inthe etched dial center. The silver dial ring is etched, hands are correct. Heavy cast brass dial surround and bezel, and a thick beveled convex glass over the dial. 8 day solid plate movement with enclosed spring barrels, runs strong and is striking the half hours on a large standing gong.
