I hesitate to use the word rare but I have never owned or seen this model before. Surely some others are out there in collections. This is one big clock, 57 inches high, enough pizzazz to be very attractive. Medium oak case has had a cleaner used on it, but not refinished per se. Brass bob and dial ring are polished. Wood bezel is hinged on the right and opens like on a short drop case. Movement is 8 day, powered by 2 flat weights descending each side of the case, beats seconds, dead-beat escapement, retaining power, solid movement frames. 12 inch signed metal dial, hands, wavy glasses, weights with graining, pendulum, beat scale, are all original and came with this clock. Ly-Waterbury No. 575.
