C.1850, Anglo-American Fusee shelf clock in generally good original condition. These English shelf case were made by Holloway and Co., London for several types of American movements, however the fusees were the most popular owing to English demand. This 30 hour time and strike fusee movement is signed Chauncey Jerome, and is original to the case. The inlaid case is Circassian walnut with holly+maple inlays and a gilt gesso transition molding. The painted dial has some flakes, but is original. An especially interesting clock. Height 15 inches
