fancy dial surround with Alpine farm scene (Swiss chalet with cows, a barn, out buildings and people), and with lead weights. Original calendar gear and hand intact. Minor hairlines in dial, signed Bailly a Montmarault. Well made iron posted movement with crown wheel and verge. Strikes the hours on a large bell at top and then repeat the hour again at 2 minutes past the hour. Height 60 inches
