C.1860, Chauncey Jerome, New Haven, Conn., 30-hour time/strike OOG clock.

The mahogany veneered case is in unrestored condition with some minor veneer loss. The clock may have come from an attic, as the finish is alligatored (some folks like them this way). Both glasses are original, but the lower glass of St. Luke's Church, Hudson St, NY, is badly flaked. The original dial pan looks to have been repainted. The hands are original. The movement is stamped by the maker. The label is very dark but readable. Height 26.25 inches
