This is a quarter striking model (petite sonnerie), that gives ding-dong quarters, then on the hour strikes, and on pressing the repeat button, gives the hour, followed by the quarter. This is a presentation piece, the top engraved: "dominus vobiscum, Henry Chapin". The porcelain dial is good and the beveled glasses are fine. Retains original platform. For someone who specializes in carriages, this is quite restorable. Height 7 inches
