C.1845, Brewster and Ingrahams, Bristol, CT. 8-day striking "Sharp Gothic" or steeple clock in mahogany veneered case.

This is an excellent example which has a ribbed plate movement with its original brass springs. The dial has original paint, the hands appear correct and the acid etched tablet is superb. The case needs polishing, but has its original finish and only minor nicks and dings. The right steeple has lost the very tip. The label in this clock is remarkably crisp. Even the brass gong base cover and original factory pendulum wire retainer is present. Please note that part of the lower wood retainer board for the movement broke away and someone turned it over and made a second set of holes under it, but the movement is absolutely original. The best steeple in today's sale. Height 20.5 inches
