The case has been washed with alcohol and much of the finish removed. Interestingly, Welch took over the J. C. Brown operation in 1856 and for at least the first year or 2, the blue labels stated "Successors to J. C. Brown". However, this blue label does not have that statement, and this clock would surely have been one of the last ripples made by Welch. Dial is original Door retains original stenciled Fenn tablet with floral basket pattern. Height 18.5 inches
