The refinished case is in excellent condition. The original tablet is outstanding with some very minor chipping. The original dial has been repainted. The top glass is original. The original ivory knob is cracked. The movement is signed "E. N. Welch". Bristol Brass went into business around 1850, a stock company of Holmes, Brown, Welch and others (E. N. Welch was president), and supplied brass to local clock makers. They may have taken back some movements and cases as part payment for the brass, and their labels are uncommon. Height 19 inches
