This is another published use of the boar hunter clock top. Note the fancy gilt dial with individual chevron numerals. The case retains most of its original gilding with a light bronze finish one the curved frieze panels. This is a heavy clock. See Ly page 408, index No. 1588; this clock cost $72.50 when new while a 'Hanging Antique' cost $70. Only now do we see that the wood was a better investment. Height 24.5 inches
