Note the base has been restored by Mr. Carrick with his trademark bronze finish, and the ribbon trim gold plated. The Cherubs retain their original finish with some wear, but basically excellent. The movement is complete and sound and with great porcelain dial and open escapement. This clock shows in Tran Duy Ly's Ansonia book, figure 1474 on page 379, and sold new in 1904 for $100. For comparison a Hanging Antique was only $70 or you could have bought two Generals for $94 (47 each), or 5 weight driven Capitals for $20 each. I feel there is room for appreciation in these figure clocks. Height 30 inches
