C.1900, E. Howard and Co., Boston "No. 70 Regulator" in oak and in good original condition.

The case has been heavily cleaned with a modern spray degreaser, however most of the original finish is intact (with some scrapes and nicks), and it is an attractive medium gold color. The 12" painted dial is original, and the Howard signature is present, but a weak. The pendulum is original, but buffed at some time; about half the damascene pattern remains (careful when cleaning not to rub off the remainder of the pattern). Pend stick, tablet, rating nut, weight and all case hardware are original. Top glass and putty are original; putty is starting to crack. The movement is signed and seems to run OK. Height 32 inches
