the only item that keeps this from being excellent is that someone tried to re-paint the signature on the dial. (original dial paint is not chipped and a proper artist can restore the signature). Has a nice original label inside the door showing it was sold by Wm. T. Gale Co, 221 Washington St., Boston, Feb 1, 1874. Many of these clocks were made after 1900, and this label is excellent documentation that it is a 19th century model. This clock has perhaps the nicest set of original tablets we have ever seen on a figure 8. Walnut case has been polished and waxed. Height 34 inches
