dial signed: V. Hainz, Praze. The 7-rod grid pendulum is a copy of an old one. The rosewood veneer work on this case is to the highest standard (wish I knew the fellow). The originals of this clock, with slight variations are shown in 2 books: 1) Vienna Regulators and Factory Clocks, by Ortenburger, page 84 and in color on the rear cover. 2) Viennese Timepieces by Fred. Kaltenbandoumluck, page 216, figure 480. Alvin Kahn sold one of these originals in 1991 for $6500. Height 49 inches
