and so engraved on the 8" diameter silvered brass dial. Heavy polished brass case which has been mounted on mahogany stand. Running. Serial number 123842, shipped in 1918 (as verified in Demeter's Chelsea book); a small handwritten note on the back of the stand indicates a ship date of 11-2-18. A nice early 20th century Navy piece; note unusual configuration with seconds bit at 6, and winding arbor at 12. Diameter of case back 10.5" Height with stand 12.5 inches
