Circa 1880 3 1/2 inches dial is hand painted cobalt blue tile, signed "J.E. Caldwell and Co., Philadelphia", 8-day, circular brass movement, well executed French bronze mantle clock with hand painted cobalt blue neoclassical scrollwork tile inserts with illegible signature on rear, a very handsome and well made clock, suitable for a formal setting, small tile on clock top cracked, otherwise excellent condition with good patina. Height 14 1/2 inches
