This is a prototype of about 20 that were made in the 70's by the now defunct California firm Westminster Clock Co, to copy an 1840 style banjo. It was ultimately decided not to produce them. The oak case with a Korean movement and an antiqued dial is fairly nicely made and would probably appeal to the customer needing a "decorator" clock. There is a carved eagle on the lower door. Height 40 inches
