This is one of a series of various miniature case styles based on old designs that included a banjo, steeple, wagon spring, Grandfather, etc. This miniature mahogany grandfather timepiece is in pretty nice clean condition with original finish, but has a couple of dings. The hands, dial and finials are original. These timepieces were sold with a 30-hour backwind movement made by Gilbert. This is a variation of the other example in this auction. There is a clean label on the back describing this case. Height 13.5 inches
