Refinished oak case is 49.5" high, good oak grain highlighted on all cuts, some more distinct than others. Depending on the angle of the saw cut, some grain is bolder. Two pieces that stand out with different cuts are the top finial and the scrolled trim just below the door. When the case was refinished a new dial pan was made and painted by the Dial House. There is an old black label inside the case, a signed beat scale, old brass pendulum, and the correct weights covered with an oak veneer to match the case and make them more invisible as they descend down the case sides. Movement is 8 day, 2 weight, time only, with dead beat escapement, retaining power, solid movement frames, and it is running just fine. Ly-Waterbury #558.
