Case of cast brass or bronze, 12" high, 10.75" wide. The bezel opens by pushing in on a small latch on the left side. Serial number on the wood base is,"23834" and "15488". There are a couple of small repair stickers on the wood base, and a written repair date. Movement is 8 day, lever, striking ships bells, half hours and hours, running and striking properly. 8.5" silver dial with raised bronze numerals, chapter ring with minute marks, some rubbed off between the 7 and 10. The dial marked, "Ships Bell", and the selling dealer's name. Ly-American, Volume 2, #228.
