Southern Calendar Clock Co., St. Louis, Mo. "Fashion No. 3" C. 1878.
This clock is in good original condition, including the dark crusty case that is 32" high. I was surprised when I had all these Fashions lined up together how different they are. They are slightly different in heights, widths, and depths. Good finials, tipped nicely. The calendar rollers are dark; dials are original with just a tad of flaking. It is so unusual to see dials this nice on Fashions this old. The gilt is good on the partition around the dial; the word Fashion is very good. The original star pendulum is just about perfect and the hands are original. The movement is 8 day of course, striking a large brass bell on the hours. All of the inside parts are clean and doing their job, calendar changing properly, etc. This is a super original clock. I sure wouldn't change it in any way.
