Southern Calendar Clock Co., St. Louis, Mo. "Fashion No. 4" C. 1880.

Walnut case has been refinished, front and back, not inside. It is 32" high, 16" wide. Light to medium walnut finish, gold remains in incised dial surround. Finials have good tips and could be original as they have the factory marks on the bases, on the other hand any good woodworker can turn the finials identical to an original. The dials are original with less than 5% flaking, and identical to those shown in the catalogs. The No. 4 time dial has a sunken seconds bit and has a nickel plated bezel around it. Calendar rollers are also original. There is a full black label in the case, and the glass has not been out of the door. The gold lettering is bright with very little wear. The pendulum bob is brass with a short wood stick. The movement is the same one used in the No. 3 Fashion, both springs wind counter clockwise, runs 8 days, strikes a large brass bell on the hours, runs very good and the calendar changes properly.
