The movement has an adjustable pallet Graham deadbeat escapement and the rear plate is signed Lenzkirsch 1 Million 306440. It is running and striking properly. Back door has patterned cutouts, cloth covered, to let the pleasing gong sounds escape. The Lenzkirsch trademark is stamped on the bottom of the case. This extraordinary flame mahogany (or burl walnut) case is 14.5" high, has a beveled top, and very unusual metal latches on back and front doors. The excellent copper-rose colored dial has etched and painted numerals. A wedding gift plaque on the base is dated 1905. This clock is also in the "Keeper" category.
