F. Kroeber Clock Co. mirrorside, "Artic", C. 1888.
The very ornate walnut case is 25" high, carved top piece and some on the sides, etched all over, metal ornament on the top. It would appear that everything is original with the exception of the two turned finials on the base. The blocks they rest on do appear to be original. 3 good original glasses. The case has not been refinished. The movement is 8 day, strike and alarm. Runs very well. Strikes on a cathedral gong and alarms on a nickel bell. There are also nickel dial rings. If I had to single out the biggest fault with this clock it would probably be the dial. It is original, but fingers rubbed the paper too many times causing smears and fading in places. The numerals on the upper left side have been enhanced a little. It is passable. Good Koreber pendulum is adjustable for slow-fast. This is a very nice looking clock. Kroeber Catalog, 1888-1889.
