Clocks of this type only require winding once each 12 months. Movements are solid polished brass, solid pinions. Unlike some 400 day clocks, GB clocks are fitted with a safety bridge which protects the suspension spring during transit. This case is bright and clean, the perfect ivory dial is just over 2.5" with painted numerals and original hands. The movement is signed by GB and includes a serial number #2273158. Running very freely. If you have the Ly-Becker catalog you will find clocks of this type on pages 47-48.
