Open well shelf clock of unusual design and we are told by the serious collectors that it is extremely rare. I usually don't drool over a New Haven clock but this one will grab you. Everyone who has seen it here at our place has tried to buy it before the auction. As the catalog says, "this clock is novel in construction". 5 finials on top, turned out feet, carvings, turned spindles, grooves and etchings, even the pendulum is a keeper. Note the initials NHCC and the other unusual designs. The movement is 8 day, striking a cathedral gong on half hours and hours. Original metal dial, with only slight wear and flaking. Came from a well known collectors summer home along with some other rare clocks. Full label on the back. Ly-New Haven #1245.
