Solid wood case 19" high, original ebony finish with flowers and other designs etched in the wood, gold filled. Some of the gold has stayed in place; over half is gone or covered with dirt and grime. Door is beveled, case in excellent original condition and has never been cleaned. The original putty in place around the special Kroeber glass, also with designs of flowers, leaves, etc. Fancy pendulum that regulates Slow-Fast is marked, "Jacot's Regulator, Pat. Sept ?" The original 2 piece porcelain dial with brass rings, is signed, "FK", and has a slow-fast opening on the dial, now filled. Being mechanically illiterate I can't explain why it was ever there. There are two full labels, a Kroeber beat scale with most of the paint missing. The signed 8 day movement strikes a nickel bell on the hours and runs very well.
