This is another of the hanging kitchen clocks that Welch made for other companies to award as prizes or gifts to good customers or salespeople. One other shown in the Ly-Welch catalog is the "Colby Wringer Co." clock, page 133, which is similar to this one. Cases were walnut, 27.5" high, of good design and using good materials. 8 day Welch movement is time, strike, and alarm. The pendulum is typical Welch pressed glass and brass. Clock runs. A good portion of one label on the back, another label worn badly. Good painted metal dial. Base took a hit, one small tip remade and glued on, others hardly noticeable. Case was cleaned of any smoke and grime, has a good looking dark walnut finish.
