16" rosewood veneered case is almost excellent. The previous owner had written on his inventory list that the base had some damage. I had to hold it up to good light and feel closely because the veneer came off where the grain is dark along the bottom left side. This case has not been refinished and retains some dark features on the front. The original bird tablet is really nice and will induce the bird lovers to bid. This glass is pictured on some clocks in the catalogs. The old dial and brass ring have not been cleaned or polished. Great full label inside, top glass is also original. Movement is 8 day and strikes a coil gong on the hours. It has been oiled and is running just fine. Ly-Welch #360.
