An unusual case style, beveled door, small mirror between two large glasses. The 27" case has mahogany veneer on the edges of the case and door, some veneer repairs made satisfactorily; gesso decoration on the front has been repainted a dull gold. Bottom tablet is not original, in fact is a watercolor picture against the glass. The old wood dial is very good, just wear and tear on the 4 corners. Movement is wood, 30 hour, type 8.213, made by E. G. Atkins for Barnes. The clock is running and strikes the hours on a coil gong. Full backboard label says, in part, "Improved Clocks With Brass Bushings". Period weights and brass pendulum bob are in the case.
