Case of mahogany wood and stained a very dark brown, 41" high. There is some expert carving on the lyre and base sections, but it is not sanded slick in the grooves like the early clocks. Note the strings painted in the center section, part of the lyre. Pendulum bob is swirled like Seth Thomas or maybe Howard. I was tempted to pull it off for a nicer clock. Paper dial on a metal pan. The movement is pictured to the side, is it not a typical banjo 8 day movement? Nice, adequate weight is running the clock. The movement is signed, "O J R 1992 No. 208". Unknown to me, but the clock came from the Houston area; perhaps someone down there knows who OJR is. As you can tell in the picture the weight box is typical of banjo clocks as is everything else. Pretty good looking clock, our minimum is probably way low.
