Brewster & Ingrahams, Bristol, Ct., C. 1850.
These partners made the four column onion top cases from 1846-1850. The ribbed 8 day movement was introduced in 1850, so that dates the clock. The large movement is held with mounting blocks, strikes hours on a coil gong. By pressing the brass in from the back making the rib, the movement plates were much stronger. The top glass appears to have original putty while the bottom frosted glass is probably a modern replacement. There is a full green label with the name and address same as on the movement. The painted zinc dial, over 150 years since painted, has faded, but is worthy of continued use as is. 19" mahogany veneer case is very nice, was been cleaned and polished years ago. All 4 finials are sharp and original, no damage to the onion top, which is unusual. Ivory escutcheon and key lock door. Reference: "Handbook of Clocks Produced by Charles Kirk, Elisha C.
