The Atkins Clock Mfg. Co. bankrupt in 1857 and was reorganized by Irenus Atkins in 1859 as Atkins Clock Company and was one of the major firms in Bristol until it entered bankruptcy in 1879. This little 14" shelf clock retains its original finish on the mahogany veneer, no veneer problems other than grime, both glasses are original as is the dial, door knob, and maybe the pendulum bob. About 80% of the label is inside the case. Who knows? Another nice clock from this fine collection. Reference: Ken Roberts book we noted in #519, page 331.
