There is some speculation about his beginnings as a clock dealer, but a lot of research is available in the Bulletins. A start would be Bulletin #300, page 82. This little cottage clock has a full green label inside the 12" mahogany veneer case. Metal dial and both glasses are original and very satisfactory. The 30 hour, time only movement, is typically small in this size case, and surely made for some of us poor folks out here on the frontier as it is sure a simple little clock.
