The 8 day movement is signed "L.Hubbell, Pat.Pend. Nov.28,1886". It has a large balance wheel. The heavy brass case has never been cleaned, is very tarnished and would sure be nice if polished. Hinge on the right, push button latch on the left. Many references regarding Laporte Hubbell and his marine movements in the Bulletins.
