C.1895 French, 8-day time/strike marble and gilt figural mantel clock and garniture set

Condition: Case has a gold type finish that appears original, but is worn in places. The statue has a label titled: ÓPrisonniere par FerrrandÒ. Hands appear to be replacements (hour hand is a bit too long). Dial has a couple of hairline cracks. Rear dust cover is replaced. Marble is very good with just a little roughness on some of the sharp edges. The candelabra have little roughness on the marble edges, but the gilt finish has faired better. An impressive mantel set. Height 19.5 inches
