Condition: Coppery finish on the iron is old, but not original (looks OK). The case is marked ÓPatent 1852Ò cast on both sides of the door and could be a Mueller pattern, but we could not find any signature (many Muellers are white metal, while this is iron). The movement is a typical Connecticut type, original to the clock. There is no label. The paper dial and minute hands have been replaced. We have not seen this particular case with the hinged iron door over the pendulum. Mid nineteenth Century Americana for a low investment. Height 17 inches
