C.1940 The Ashcroft Mfg. Co., New York , 8-day engine room timepiece in a heavy cast red brass case with silvered dial. The case and dial were manufactured by Ashcroft with a No. 10 double wind movement supplied by Seth Thomas. Condition: Dial has normal wear around the winding arbors and some very minor paint loss in the numbers. The hands are original. The case is now mounted on a homemade stand for use on the mantel. Original key to bezel latch is replaced; works OK when you are patient. Couple of dings on right edge of bezel; generally good+ condition. Height 9.25 inches
